Michael Panenka and Jeff Day will be meeting with the Portland Phoenix for a pow-wow later today and we look forward to updating you all with some of the progress we've made toward the feature length version of Flippy Day. Flippy Day Movie

Hey Gang!

While Big Appetite Films waits to hear from the 48 International Shootout judges regarding "Glamulus at the End of the World" we are pleased to announce that Flippy Day is being developed into a feature length film. That's Right! Featuring 99.9 % of the original cast members! Details forthcoming. Meanwhile, a Silent Auction/Extra Cast Call/Flippy Day Screening is being planned at a local rink for sometime in late February or early March. Are you a Maine business owner, artist, or craftsperson that can possibly donate services to this auction? We'd certainly appreciate it! Please email us through this blog.

Thanks for your time and support.

Hiya. I am happy to inform you all that Flippy Day has NOT been selected for Sundance OR Slamdance Film Festivals! Booo Hooo!

HOWEVER it will screen at Filmapalooza April 10-12 in Las Vegas at the NAB show. So that's something.

Big Appetite's newest short film Glamulus at the End of the World has been entered into the 48 Hour International Shootout. Filmed partly in the Durham Elementary School, Glamulus tells the story of a once-famous sweater model and his faithful assistant as they search for remnants of human life. Featuring many of the same cast and crew of Flippy Day, this short film redefines the meaning of "the end of the world." I've been informed that by February 1, 2010 we will know if it makes the cut for the top three. It may screen at Filmapalooza, or even Cannes!
